Fabio is a Lecturer in Digital Transformation at Edinburgh Napier University Business School. He holds a PhD in Business Management from the University of Edinburgh Business School and has an MRes in Business Administration, an Executive MBA, and a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration.

Fabio is a practitioner turned academic. Before entering academia, he built a career spanning more than 25 years in technical and field leadership roles in the IT industry involving not just large multinational companies such as SAP, HP, and IBM, but also medium-sized and small firms, including start-ups. In his academic role, Fabio seeks to bridge scholarly and practitioner knowledge at the interface between digital technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation. More specifically, his research interests involve digital innovation and the transformation of organisations, including digital platforms (especially ERPs) and their different facets, such as platform ecosystems, governance, adoption, and diffusion.

His work has been presented at top international conferences in Information Systems and related fields. He also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for Information & Organization and the Scandinavian Journal of Information Systems, among others.
